Is there a way to check the online status of the toad or pdp-10? I just tried to logon - but telnet didn't respond (ping worked). It would be handy to know if the systems were up - or that some new router firewall at my end is blocking telnet...

We apologize for the delay in processing your original post (entered on 21 November). The moderator was away for a family emergency.

If you are still having problems making connections to our systems, it seems likely that the telnet issue is at your end, as we can telnet from a number of non-local ISPs to both the Toad-1 and the 2065, and to our VAX-11/785 as well. If not, it may have been a transient condition at either end which we will never discover now.
